How does one convert Bitmap-subs to Text-based ones (e.g., .smi) ?

Hi, PROs Please give me a link to read more about converting .idx and .rar subs generated by the GK family into text-based ones like SAMI captioning. Text-based ones are open to easy editing. Thanks, and regards.

U may use Subresynch as a OCR and text maker but it's a hell of a job....

I haven't used SubResync before; perhaps its time I give it a shot... SubRip is the program I used, but I didn't know one can open OCR script files in it. So, of course... Life is pleasant with you guys around. Regards.
