Hi - I have a 2003 XC90 and the flywheel is making the most awful noise. I can use a garage to do the work myself but am not sure how to drop the engine - Anyone have any advice, instructions etc.,?

Surely it's easier to drop the transmission?? Mike

Thanks for your response. I was told by garage that it was easier to drop the whole lot in one go and do it that way - is there a way to drop the transmission without taking the engine out??

it can be done if you have the right equipment, but not difficult to drop engine and gearbox together and then split them
