I am new to Pro Tools. I have a digi 001 running LE 6.1.1 and I am trying to record an original song I have recorded in Pro Tools onto a standard audio CD. I used bounce to disk with dither (16bit/44100), selected the BWF (.WAV)format and "convert after bounce." The the file recorded to my hard drive and appears as <filename>.R.wav. I can play the file using WINAMP and I can hear it through my computer sound card output jack. However, when I attempt to drag this file into my Nero Burning software, the CD burning software does not recognize the file format and will allow me to drag the file into the record window. What am I doing wrong? Any help appreciated. Thanks.
what you have is two mono audio files and cd burner software in general require one stereo file. so what you have to do is open the two mono files in such an audio editing app that can compose the stero audio file - such as peak by - and burn that stereo file to cd. that's called "mastering", although that includes a lot more, but anyway. btw. the proper thing to do would be to bounce as 24bit audio files, because that leaves more options open in the mastering phase. the 16bit final can be made in peak very easily.

Hi Digimoog. A small change will do it. Bounce to disk as 16bit 44.1kHz (you already got that right), and set it to wave-file, stereo interleaved (the key point here) and Nero will pick it up easily. Gunnar.
Interesting, I have the same problem. I use stereo interleaved 16bit 44.1 wav when i bounce to disk. When I go to drop it in Nero Nero doesn't recognize it. I have to open in Cool Edit Pro and save it one more time. Then it will drop into Nero. I have had this problem for a couple years since Protools LE 5.1. I am using 6.1 right now and still that problem exists. I even use Waves L1 and have used the L2 plugin from the platinum bundle. Still have same problem. I have to bring stereo file into Cool Edit Pro and save it before I can drop it in Nero. Anybody have any ideas?
I have been using PT4.1 on Mac for many years. Recently I upgraded to Digi 002 windows. What bothers me so much is the bounce to disc function. It plays the sound in real time and that is an annoyingly slow process. In the old PT the bounce is silent and fast, especially if I am bouncing it without conversion - it bounces in less time than the actual length of the sound clip. Is there a way to speed it up. I don't need to hear it when I counce; I just want it bounced. Please help... Otherwise I like the overal performance of the PT6.4 on Windows. Thanks.
