Hello PT users...this is where Im having an issue Im currently using a Digi 002 console and running a Apogge Rosetta 200 via SPDIF into the 002. Ive notice when I do that I lose my monitoring in my headphone jacks off the 002. I did try this running the Apogee output into the 002 ALT SRC to monitor and go out of the digi 002 to the amp but it sounded distorted. Is there an internal way I can send a output to the headphone jacks in Pro Tools if so please put me up on game. Thanks

One big reason you bought the Rosetta200 (I'm assuming) is to upgrade both the ADC's and the DAC's from your PTLE hardware. By going digital into the Rosetta200 and using those analog I/O's, the difference in audio quality is significant! So the idea is you feed your monitors from the Rosetta, but you're right---you lose your monitor control. This is why there are external products made for such a thing. Personally I have the Presonus Central Station---great box for the money. There are other products available, but what I like about the Central Station is it's not expensive, it's passive so not to ruin the audio quality, offers a lot of features, and is the main communication I have in my studio. For example, I have the following: INPUT 1= MASTER OUTS from my 192I/O INPUT 2= MASTER OUTS from Apogee Ensemble INPUT 3= (RCA AUX)=MacBook Audio Out INPUT 4= (COAX DIGITAL) CD Player Digital Output SPEAKER OUT 1= JBL LSR6328 Monitors SPEAKER OUT 2= Feed to Stereo Receiver CUE OUT 1 = CUE Mix to Drum Room CUE OUT 2 = CUE Mix to ISO Room I recommend these to my own clients when I design and sell them their studio systems, it's an amazing box---and is exactly the type of product you need. There are other options as well, but this one is hard to beat unless you spend a lot more money.

The quickest and easiest way would be to pick up something similar to a Presonus HP4 - it's a four-channel headphone amp that also has a volume knob for your monitors. Send the analog signal from the Rosetta to the HP4, then to your headphones and monitors. I also have a Mackie Big Knob, which is similar to the Central Station described above. Very useful to have! Between it and the HP4 I now have six headphone jacks, which is nice when recording a full band.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I just bought a rosetta 200 and didn't even think about losing my headphone jack off the 002.
