Close REAPER, find your REAPER appdata directory <user>/Library/Application Data/REAPER), and rename the whole directory, from REAPER to something like REAPER_old. Then restart REAPER.

OSX 10.8.5 has no /library/application data There's /application support But there's no reaper in there! I've even use terminal to demand this machine shows me hidden files. Nope. Not there. EDIT: Ridiculous! I went user/hd/library/application support but it has to be user/library/application suport AND OF COURSE THE CORRECT /LIBRARY/ IS A *breath* hidden file which requires a terminal command to be shown. Thanks to this thread for showing me how to find the reaper data.
