Hello simonkang and welcome to these forums. You'll find many helpful people here and a lot of useful information. 'Fraid not. Humour me, what is it needed for? Maybe there's an alternative way.
hey Darkstar! you may want to overdub something during the mix process, so if u have a separate level when the track is armed you will not mess with the volume of the mix. This way you can have a volume for tracking (monitoring) and another for mixing! thanks for the reply!

The track fader has no effect on the recording level, so really, what you are asking for is already there. *unless you have the track set to record the track OUTPUT. (usually when doing this, you are sending from another track anyway.)
Hi guys! thanks for all the replies! That's not what i meant... I know that the volume fader does not affect the recording gain... For that i need to adjust my preamp... Here is what i want to do: I want to MONITOR at a different level while i'm recording something, but i don't want to mess with the volume of my mix. So when i record enable a track i can set the fader wherever i want and when i unarm the track the volume will jump back to the previous position as before. You know what i mean?
just create a new track (you can double the original track if you have some vsti like guitar rig), record there with the monitoring level you want and when you have finished, move the item to the correct track and delete the track you created for the recording. i think you can even create a macro or two to do this, no?
