Thanks. I've got a press and various drifts so that should hopefully be the easy bit! Why do I need new bolts, and which ones?

Thanks. I'm sure that there is a perfectly logical explanation for using bolts that stretch and can't be used more than once (beyond economics for the manufacturer obviously!). Thanks for the help.

Yes they keep a tension on a joint for an indefinate period through hot and cold cycles without releasing any tension , they act like a spring or elastic to take up any variation in stress .

Hi Jon, I have the same problem on my V70 D5 2003. Can't decide whether to try and do the bushes myself or buy the complete control arm instead. Did you manage to press new bushes in or are very specialist Volvo tools required ? Many thanks John
