i'm steeling you midi editor button setup!! (well some of it :) ) the drum track to midi editor switch button is a great idea i have been programming drums in midi editors for years so i'm quite at home doing so, but XT has made me like programming in a drum track :) it seems in Reaper if i change one tracks midi to drum track mode all tracks midi open in this view? is there a way to only make my drum track open in this editor view? (i prefer for all midi to open in the same window, not have a different window for each track) Subz

... you can only steal the toolbar buttons setup if you confirm the results I get :) Each MIDI clip remembers its settings here - can you post as an attachment a small project showing the problem?

confirmed on drum editor, midi editor, toggle note shape, quantize, humanize & filter buttons, seeing as note shape is a toggle it makes sense i guess but drum track & midi editor view buttons should hold a pressed state IMO hide unused button dose hold clicked state! is there a toggle option i can do for this? or do i need another button for show unused? will test some more with the hides carrying over to different midi tracks then post back :) Subz

Hi Darkstar, I struggle with that too, I put a button to activate step recording but I have no way of telling if it's on or off besides playing some notes to see. I think that there should be a button's "stay pressed until next click" function. It would be great if we could create a group of buttons that could toggle the pressed state like that: And one button that would cycle thru 3 or more states like the ripple edit button. DanXIV
